And before there was "Juno", there was "Gidget", maybe one of the best written girl characters on TV. Sally Field is incredible, and her clumsy, clutzy best friend Larue is the quintessential sidekick. Add to that a dash of stern yet caring single-dad and you've got me sold, 1965! It's really funny too!





Oh and in this scene below, they pretend it's 11.30 at night. God, I miss naivite and bad set design!

30 years before Tina Fey made it popular in "30 Rock", there was another spunky lady running around a New York high rise office building - "That Girl!"

Starring the impeccable Marlo Thomas (the love child of Charlotte Roche, Linda Cardellini and Audrey Hepburn), "That Girl" is a 30 minute comedy romp - the story lines are pretty "safe" (hey, it was 1966!) but the dialogue is fast and witty enough to make up for it.



The teaser/expose of each episode starts with a scene that leads to "that girl!" being said and also being the cue for the opening credits. Pretty clever! Thanks to someone who likes doing illegal things, all of "That Girl!" can be watched on youtube. The first episode has the fantastic title "Don't Just Do Something, Stand There", which is really ingenious. Watch it and learn.

Der offensichtlich schon fast so lange wie Lostie Richard Alpert auf der Welt ist und dessen musikalische Identitäten es zu erforschen gilt. Zusatzaufgabe: Hat Jamie Lidell einen S-Fehler? Er redet auf jeden Fall wie ein Adeliger mit Polypen.

Lustig, dass ich, als ich mich selbst in der unangenhemen und unausweichbaren Falle "Highschool" befand, ich diese Sendung nicht so klass fand. Man wartet zehn Jahre, verliebt sich Hals ueber Kopf in Seth Rogen und probiert's nochmal. Yup, so schlimm war Dodgeball damals, Homecoming Dances und das Lunchtime Ritual. Jason Segel ist hauptsaechlich gross und sieht aus wie 36, Linda Cardelini ist wohl die staerkste, coolste Schuelerin die das Fernsehen je gesehen hat und erinnert mich mir ihrer gruenen Army-Jacke an meine Myrtle am Frequency, James Franco ist damals schon am Pineapple Express mitgefahren, Busy Phillips ist die klassische Boese (ich kenn sie! genauso wars!), die Geeks sind unheimlich liebenswert, und der Rogen, ja, der Rogen! So eine tolle Besetzung haette mein Leben damals besser gemacht, aber es heisst ja, man lernt nie aus.
